President Les welcomed everyone back for the first meeting of the year. Special welcome to new delegate from Glenmore, Peter Aroney.

3. Adoption of Council Minutes 22nd November 2023.
Moved by Noel H, seconded by Russell C and agreed by all that the Minutes of the Previous Meeting were a true and accurate record.

WOG program now available
2024 Championship in October 2024 to be held on Riverland courses near Renmark.
NSW will host in 2027 with Illawarra district being the venue.

Sponsorship of Club Events explained. Form to be resent to delegates. Encouraged to return to NSWVGA.
NSWVGA Membership cards discussed.
CLUBGrant has been applied for. Informed that decisions will be made by a committee set up by local council.
6. Finances.
Financial Summary of accounts for October-January has been emailed to all.
Moved by Bruce Baker seconded by Russell Cruickshank and agreed by all that the Financial Summary be accepted.
Moved by Noel B seconded by Noel H and agreed by all that Judy be given approval to reinvest Term Deposit in March.
7. Report from Western Sydney Veterans Open at Penrith G C 23rdJanuary 2024.
Russell: 130 entries but 3 withdrew before event. The pace of play was good. Problems with the cards not being filled in correctly so took longer to process.
Prizes needed to be changed from what was advertised. Decision was made to pay the maximums of what their result would have been. No one got less than what were advertised for payment prizes. This meant $2,120 was paid out. Only 16 ladies, so only one division. Good support in the Club afterwards.
Discussion:
Next year prize money policy needs to be looked at.
Kim suggested that it needs to be run by Association rules, not individual club rules.
Les suggested the association would allocate same amount next year and pay what they win. Association will send out guidelines.
8. Interclub game at Richmond G C 20th February 2024.
Noel B: Entries close this Friday 10th Feb.
Problems with carts, 34 available but some clubs have requested more than 4 carts.
Apologies for oversight on entry form of number of lines available.
Richmond G C has had a change of chef – details of meals and prices will be sent out with the Timesheet.
Managers to collect cards on the morning.
Richmond members will be at each scanning point following the game. Players to verify that their card/score is correct.
Noel H to take photos of winners and presentation of Players of Year and Club of the Year.
Noel B mentioned that Stonecutters Interclub game will be held on a Monday during Richmond’s Club Championship. Kim to see what he can do about it.
9. Interclub game at Dunheved G C 19th March 2024.
Wayne: Paul is overseas, but entry sheets have gone out.
Peter: Stop/go signal at the gate because of road works. Will take some time to get all players in. Peter will see Tracey to see if this can be sorted out for the day.
10. NSWVGA

11. Publicity (Noel H).
Noel: Began the roll late last year. Thanked those delegates who had sent contacts for local papers.
Already have had 2 articles in the Australian Senior Golfer.

12. General Business
Judy: Confirmed any changes in club playing dates to be updated on the website.
Peter: The results from Penrith showed prizes only. Thought members would like to see individual scores. Judy to see Peter re these changes.
13. Next meeting will be on Wednesday 3rd April. 2024 at Leonay Golf Club beginning at 2pm.
