President Les warmly welcomed everyone and hoped that there would be plenty of fine weather in 2023.
As there were new delegates, Les asked each to introduce themselves and their club.

2. Adoption of Council Minutes 23rd November 2022
Moved by Chris Sharpe, seconded by John Lovatt and agreed by all that the Minutes of the Previous Meeting were a true and accurate record.
3. Matters arising from Council Minutes 23rd November 2022
Noel Byles: Richmond Golf Club is in process of introducing a cost for private carts and visitors.
Moved by Noel Byles seconded by Mark Mostyn and agreed by all that the minutes be adopted.

Correspondence File has been emailed to all.
Judy: Correspondence from Richmond Club re ClubGRANTS needs to be followed up.
6. Finances:
Financial Statement for October-December has been emailed to all.
Judy: Term Deposit expires 1 st March. Will negotiate with Bendigo Bank.
Moved by Mark Mostyn seconded by Kim Stockbridge and agreed by all that the Financial Statement be accepted.
7. Playing Dates 2023
Playing dates have been emailed to all.
8. Meeting Dates for 2023.
Meeting dates with one change have been emailed to all.
9. Update of WSRVGA Club Contacts
Judy confirmed changes to club delegates. New lists will be sent with minutes. Changes to be sent to NSWVGA and WSRVGA websites.
Les explained that only one delegate from each club can vote. Executive can vote but there can only be a maximum of two votes per club.
10. SMEG Western Sydney Veterans Open 23 rd January.
Noel Byles: Very pleased with the day and lucky with the weather. Course in great condition.
Disappointed with the lack of representation from some clubs. Thanks expressed to Mark (Springwood) 15 players and Bruce (Leonay) 21 players. Richmond made up half the field.
Day was a financial success for the Richmond Club and many positive comments were received.
Could become an annual event and be open to other clubs to run.
Discussion:
John Lovatt: The date is difficult still being in holidays. Suggests move 2 weeks later.
Les: Need to look at it later in the year in conjunction with setting Interclub dates.
David Craig-Williams asked about the earlier time spots. Noel responded that they had filled up quickly.
Moved by Martin Berg seconded by Mark Mostyn and agreed by all that the 2024 Western Sydney Open be held at Richmond Golf Club.
11. Interclub event to be held at Leonay, Tuesday 21st February 2023.
Bruce: Nomination forms went out 24th Jan, closing on 13th Feb. Draw will be out asap.
Sponsors and course under control, can’t control the weather.
Lunch 5 meal choices at $15 each. Order them after the game.
Noel: Should there be 2 divisions for ladies.
Bruce: It gave greater opportunity for ladies to succeed and wanted to support the ladies.
Cost for club carts will be $25 with 3 per available. No charge for own cart.
Mark: Asked whether you would consider running all events as a medley?
Bruce: Hasn’t been considered but will consider in the future.
12: Interclub event to be held at Glenmore, Wednesday 22 nd March 2023.
David Craig-Williams: Has been talking to the manager, things looking positive. Catering will be difficult, only snack food. Club House will be open, so a Presentation is possible.
There isn’t any water on the course, holes 1-9.
Bill Morris is the new Secretary/Treasurer. Peter Murphy, for health reasons, has relinquished the position.
Owners seem keen to keep Glenmore going as it is. They have talked about reintroducing some things that used to happen.
Bill: Would like people to stay back for social contact and raffles.
13. General Business:
Les: NSWVGA register is ready to go. Progressively everyone will be given access to it.
NSWVGA Constitution is being updated. Hopefully will be ready for Special Meeting on 7 th June.
Some Weeks of Golf have only online entries. Need to have other ways of entering.
Robert Chruszcz (Leonay) asked about clash of dates between different associations.
Les: NSWVGA dates already locked in for 2023/24. Very little cooperation between NSWVLGA, Golf
Australia, Golf NSW.
Mark (Springwood) Still difficulty with the automated email for clubs using SLICE operating system.
Les asked clubs involved to look at it again.
Jeff Donley (Springwood) 10 th March Springwood Hospital Golf Day
$85 per person. Breakfast/lunch/hole-in-one. Jeff will be seeking donations from Clubs.
Judy confirmed with Kim that he was still able to compile Club and Player of the Year results.
14. Next meeting will be Wednesday 12 th April 2023 at Leonay Golf Club beginning at 2pm
