The report has already been circulated but Bruce stressed that the day was a success because of the support from the Emu Club and other club delegates. Filling out cards still an issue for all clubs. Responsibility of the player to check their card, before signing.
8. Report Interclub event held at Glenmore Wednesday 22 March 2023
Bill Morris: Glenmore didn’t hold an event last year mainly because of the weather. But this year showed that with the support of the clubs,WSRVGA and assistance from their members they can run a successful day.
Les congratulated them on what they were able to achieve under the circumstances.
Les expressed concern at having medley events.
Bill’s response, it was the committee’s decision as there were only 18 ladies out of 142 entrants. All events at the club are run as a medley.
Les thought this would discourage ladies from playing and as they generally score less it may affect Player of the Year.
Noel commented that each club can run their event as they see fit.
Mark explained that in the Medley, women allocated their own handicap and play off the red markers.
Kim appreciated the data and the format that it was sent through to him. Bill to contact committee member Peter Aroney for more details.
