MATTERS ARISING FROM THE MINUTES:

3. EXECUTIVE REPORT:
The President’s Report has previously been circulated to all Delegates and the Executive. It was moved by Robert Chruszcz, seconded by Bruce Baker, and carried that his report be taken as read.
Les highlighted the following points:
· Thanks to Noel for his history of WSRVGA
· State level: death of Ian Vidler (President NSWVGA). Les is currently acting President till AGM on 7th December. Standing as President for 2023 only.
· Unfortunately, the ladies don’t want to amalgamate. Different organization with delegate in each club and run mainly metropolitan tournaments. Unfortunate as both groups have same outcome, provide Vets with opportunities to play golf and social interaction.
· Grass Roots Scheme has been canned. Little interest and seemed a waste of $10,000.
· Abolishment of $2/player levy imposed on Weeks of Golf.
· Medal of Medals. NSWVGA will continue to give clubs Medal and vouchers but play offs will not happen this year. Incoming committee to decide for 2023.
Moved by Noel Byles, seconded by Mark Mostyn and agreed by all that the President’s Report be adopted.
4. ADOPTION OF AUDITED FINANCIAL REPORT:
The report has still to be signed off by Ross Fowler. Les and Judy to sign and then it is returned to Ross Fowler.
It’s a very comprehensive report and copies were distributed to those present.
Kim asked about costs. Les responded that we hadn’t been told but the suggestion was it would be only ’out of pocket issues’.
Robert asked what the total of $43,000 is intended for.
Discussion followed:
Les: Much of the money has come from sponsorship from Richmond Club and State Championships.
Russell: Money is needed to support any clubs who may have an incident.
Mark: Money from sponsorship only covers part of Interclub payments.
Mick: State Championships made a profit of $10,000a year.
Bob: If our mission is to promote Vets golf, how can we do it better?
Judy: recent article in the press regarding future of ClubGrants. More oversight needed.
Continue the discussion in 2023.
